1. Booking Confirmation & Payment
A booking is officially confirmed once the advance deposit specified at the time of reservation has been received. The remaining balance must be cleared prior to the departure date as communicated by our team via WhatsApp, call, or email receipt.
All prices quoted are in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of forest permits, guide fees, camping gear, and vegetarian meals as defined in each expedition's inclusions.
2. Cancellation & Refund Slabs
We understand that mountain plans can occasionally change. Our transparent cancellation slabs are structured as follows:

Trip Cancellation by Shivayan Trails: In the rare event of cancellation initiated by Shivayan Trails due to extreme weather warnings, government border closures, or natural calamities, travellers are provided a 100% full refund or a free reschedule voucher valid for 12 months.
3. High-Altitude Health & Medical Fitness
Himalayan expeditions involve physical exertion at altitudes ranging from 8,000 ft to 17,000 ft. Travellers are required to honestly disclose any pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, hypertension, cardiac history, or severe allergies) prior to departure.
Shivayan Trails reserves the right to deny participation or advise descent if a traveller's physical condition poses a safety risk to themselves or the group. Our trek leaders are certified in Wilderness First Aid and carry oximeters and first-aid kits at all times.
4. Force Majeure & Itinerary Modifications
Shivayan Trails is not liable for delays, rerouting, or schedule adjustments caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including landslides, cloudbursts, heavy snowfall, road blockages, or sudden government restrictions.
In all such scenarios, our on-ground pioneers will make the safest alternative arrangements while preserving the essence and highlights of the journey.
5. Traveller Conduct & Environmental Stewardship
All travellers must strictly abide by instructions given by the certified trek leaders and safety staff. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards behaviour that endangers fellow travellers, offends local mountain communities, or damages the fragile Himalayan ecology.
Leave No Trace: Shivayan Trails enforces a strict eco-friendly policy. All non-biodegradable waste generated during an expedition must be carried back to the base roadhead for proper recycling.
